Mitsubishi is one of the smallest automakers in the industry, but it holds the largest potential. Featuring a line of high-value vehicles, the manufacturer is looking toward increasing its offerings over the next few years, and with the launch of the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross and Outlander PHEV this December, it looks like the Japanese brand is returning to its roots.
“Our core strength is SUVs,” said Osamu Masuko, Mitsubishi CEO. “Mitsubishi offered them long before the term was coined.”
The first step in strengthening the line comes in the form of the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. Sleek, upscale styling and a powerful 1.5-liter turbocharged engine live up to the crossover’s namesake.
After its hard-hitting debut at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross made the fast track to the production line. It marks one of the first crossovers to bear the brand’s new design language.
The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross will be followed by the launch of the Outlander PHEV in December 2017 and early 2018. The long-awaited model has been available in Japan for several years now, but it looks like it will finally make its way to American roadways.
Here at Biggers Mitsubishi, we’re pumped for the arrival of the newest Mitsubishi SUVs!
