The new Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is great for road trips, with a sleek exterior, comfortable interior, and unparalleled gas mileage. Check out of these road trip destinations in Illinois to get the best out of your new G4. You’ll be surprised by the world of possibilities this intelligent car opens up.
Stop by Aurora, Illinois. This Chicago suburb is known for being the second largest city in the state, with a great view of the Fox River, as well as landmarks like the Paramount Theatre. Originally known for its manufacturing, Aurora is now a cultural center in the Midwest.
Chicago is a no-brainer for anyone in Illinois. This massive city is one of the largest in the US, known for its modern and working-class feel. Writers like Carl Sandburg have made this city an American icon, with a unique atmosphere and history you just can’t find elsewhere. Road Trip USA suggests visiting the Art Institute, Navy Pier, or the Willis Tower (formerly called the Sears Tower).
Chrystal Lake is known for its clear lake and small-city feel. With just 40,000 residents, you can easily find your way around this quaint town. Crystal Lake is part of the Chicago metro area, but it has a unique history, including some truly stunning buildings. If you visit this town, stop by the nearby lake, also called Chrystal Lake.
Finally, the Mirage G4 can easily get you to Rockford. As the third largest city in the state, Rockford is known for high-quality furniture and its beautiful scenery. Called the Forest City, Rockford is home to the Burpee Museum of Natural History and the Anderson Japanese Gardens.
These are just some of the many places to visit in your Mirage G4. You’ll have plenty of gas in the tank after you visit each of these locations, just one reason so many can’t leave the driver’s seat of this new model.
Incomplete attention when driving is a dangerous road to go down.
It’s the day and age where we basically can’t let go of our phone. But we have to let go of it when we’re driving and here’s why: texting and driving is one of the most dangerous things you can do.
Motor vehicle crashes can come unexpectedly, but if you’re texting, there’s a much higher chance of it happening to you. You’re four times more likely to crash if you’re texting. In 2015, 1 in 4 of all car crashes involved a cell phone. Unfortunately, that’s not the most tragic statistic there is.
Every day, nine drivers die because of texting while driving, and in 2013, texting caused 341,000 motor vehicle crashes. Forty percent of teens say that they have been a passenger in a car when a cellphone was used in a way that put them in danger.
A reported 33% of US drivers from ages 18 to 64 admitted reading or composing text messages while driving. To compare, only 15% of drivers from Spain reported that they texted while driving.
It’s a US epidemic that we need to squash before it grows any more. Make a vow to yourself now that you will never text and drive again. It can wait.
The day has come: the new Mirage has finally been revealed. The 2017 Mirage G4 will serve as a sedan sibling to the popular Mirage hatchback.
This Mirage sedan will bring a fresh dose of style and environmental consciousness to the Mitsubishi lineup. The G4 will have the same powertrain of the 2017 hatchback, a revised 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine. It will be at the top of its class in combined fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions. The G4’s long wheelbase makes for a spacious interior cabin and trunk.
Tech elements make the new Mirage G4 a standout, too. It will be equipped with available smartphone integrations and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so you’ll get features usually reserved for higher-priced vehicles in your affordable Mitsubishi.
With the new Mirage, you’ll get everything the hatchback offered with the benefits of a four-door sedan. “The Mirage hatchback and now the Mirage G4 sedan will form a formidable one-two punch in the subcompact segment,” said Don Swearingen, executive vice president of MMNA.
Keep an eye out for the 2017 Mirage G4’s release to check it out for yourself.
Biggers Mitsubishi is proud to serve the community of Elgin, Illinois. We appreciate all that the city has to offer, especially the Hawthorne Hill Nature Center.
The park began in 1938, as Camp Hawthorne Hills. This camp served the Elgin Girl Scouts for 34 years. In 1977, the City of Elgin purchased the camp and 45 acres west of Brookside Drive. The goal was to preserve the area for future generations. Hawthorne Hill Nature Center opened to the public in 2005 and has been a popular place for locals and visitors ever since.
The Hawthorne Hill Nature Center is the perfect place to learn about nature. The center provides year-round opportunities to explore the natural landscape. When you visit, you can hike one of the many trails or explore the interactive nature center.
There is also a wheelchair-accessible trail leading to a pond and meadow to allow everyone to enjoy the outdoors without limitations. Families and individuals can explore the 67-acre nature area, or take part in one of the many available programs.
We at Biggers Mitsubishi encourage everyone to take the time to learn about nature and appreciate the diversity in ecology and humanity shown through the Hawthorne Hill Nature Center.

The Mitsubishi Mirage continues to stand out as the vehicle to buy for non-luxury sub-compact vehicle customers.
The Mitsubishi Mirage has once again been recognized by IHS Automotive for having the highest model loyalty among Non-Luxury Traditional Sub-Compact vehicles. This is the second time in a row the Mirage has earned the award, proving that great things do come in small packages.
IHS Automotive measures model loyalty based on how many households who own a new vehicle return to the market to purchase or lease another new vehicle of the same make and/or model. The fact that people keep coming back to the Mirage is a testament to the vehicle’s quality and to its ability to live up to expectations.
“Mirage offers an unmatched package of segment-leading fuel economy, attractive pricing and an industry leading new
vehicle and powertrain warranty,” said Don Swearingen, executive vice president at Mitsubishi North America. “Our faithful owners understand and appreciate the Mitsubishi Mirage.”
Later this year, the 2017 Mirage will arrive at Biggers Mitsubishi with a refreshed exterior design, better performance, and new technology. We don’t expect that IHS Automotive Model Loyalty award to go anywhere, that’s for sure!

According to Ken Konieczka, Mitsubishi’s vice president of sales operations, there’s no reason to believe that this trend will stop, especially since the company will be pouring its energy into developing electric vehicles and crossovers in the coming years.
The first new vehicle to arrive at Biggers Mitsubishi will be a brand-new CUV in early 2018, based on the eX Concept that debuted at the Tokyo Motor Show. The next-gen Outlander will be larger while the next-gen Outlander Sport will be smaller, and both will receive EV variants.
That being said, it won’t all be Mitsubishi crossovers and EVs for the future. The updated Mirage hatchback and Mirage G4 sedan will come to Biggers Mitsubishi later this year as well, bolstering our already strong lineup!
The Outlander PHEV is back and better than ever. The 2016 model will feature a new facelift, adding sporty contours and an aggressive new fascia. Plus, the model will be getting some mechanical upgrades as well.
According to World Car Fans, the Outlander PHEV design will feature the iconic Mitsubishi “dynamic shield” fascia, using extensive chrome. In addition to a new front end, the PHEV will get two-ton 18-inch gloss black wheels, interior cabin upgrades, redesigned seats, and a four-spoke steering wheel.
Under the hood, the 2016 Outlander PHEV, which stands for “Plug-in electric hybrid,” will also get some upgrades. This includes a new hybrid setup to lower friction, an 8% increase in electric range, and better throttle response. A Multi-around view monitor provides added safety as well.
The new model is set to be released sometime in July, although it will only be available in Japan for some time. Mitsubishi has stated that it should hit the US market sometime later this year, although no specific date has been given.
You’ve likely heard by now that if you want to get your hands on the Mitsubishi Lancer and Lancer Evo models, you should head to Biggers Mitsubishi soon—like, really soon. Production for the models will end at the close of the year. However, according to circulating rumors, it seems the same fate will not befall the Evo badge.
The term “Evo” is short for “Evolution” and is synonymous with Mitsubishi’s brand of high performance. Seeing as the automaker is dedicating its efforts to furthering development of its SUV lineup, it only makes sense that the “Evo” designation would be reassigned to an SUV.
According to Auto Express, an auto publication based in the United Kingdom, Mitsubishi has its sights on the next-gen Outlander Sport (also known as the ASX in Europe) to wear the famed badge.
If that is the case, it still might be a little while before we see “Evo” stamped on a new model. Mitsubishi plans to take its time, introducing the next-generation model with four-wheel drive first and a two-wheel drive with plug-in hybrid technology second. Then, if Mitsu’s leadership chooses to adopt the “Evo” name and characteristics for the model, it “isn’t a huge jump.”
Of course we’ll have to wait and see what the automaker chooses to do, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed for an Outlander Sport Evo model to come to the States relatively soon.
